Kenya’s Rising Stars Drawn into Group C for Their Inaugural U20 AFCON Campaign

The Kenya National U20 boys team, affectionately known as the Rising Stars, has officially been placed in Group C for the upcoming 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Côte d'Ivoire.

The draw, conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on February 13, 2025, at its headquarters in Cairo, saw the Rising Stars allocated from pot 2.

This event marks a significant milestone as they prepare for their first-ever participation in the tournament, where they will face off against strong competitors Senegal, Zambia, and Sierra Leone.

The tournament is scheduled to run from April 26 to May 18, 2025. The group placements are as follows:

• Group A: Côte d’Ivoire, UNIFACC 2, DR Congo, Ghana, Tanzania
• Group B: Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Morocco
• Group C: Senegal, Zambia, Kenya, Sierra Leone
