Tusker, Kenya Police Set for High-Stakes FKF Premier League Showdown

Tusker FC and Kenya Police FC will lock horns in Machakos in a high-stakes FKF Premier League showdown this Saturday, February 8, 2025.

With both teams tied at 37 points, the match could prove decisive in the title race, as Police currently hold the edge with a superior goal difference.

Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere exuded confidence ahead of the clash, stressing his team’s readiness to handle the pressure.

"We must remain calm, stick to the plan and handle pressure. We expect a positive match,” Okere said.

Despite Kenya Police FC boasting a tighter defensive record, having conceded fewer goals than Tusker, Okere remains optimistic about his team’s ability to improve. 

The title race remains fiercely competitive, with defending champions Gor Mahia in the mix. Okere urged his squad to maintain focus.

“Staying focused until the last game will be key for us,”he added

Tusker’s hopes will largely rest on the shoulders of league top scorer Benson Omala, who has been in sensational form this season with 15 goals. 

Both teams come into the match after dropping points in their previous outings. Kenya Police were held to a 1-1 draw by Sofapaka, while Tusker played out a goalless stalemate against KCB.
